Creative Brains
Wired to Create is about the inner workings of creative brains, practices that stimulate creative thinking, and some of the habits of highly creative people. Brains, especially when we are young, are malleable and highly impressionable. The medium of wire demonstrates this flexibility, while maintaining a solid structure and creating negative space.
Wired to Create aims to detangle and understand the intricacies of creative minds, which immediately led to the idea of the wire being pulled or unravelled in some way. The incorporation of beads added another dimension and visual interest to the piece. Strung onto the wire without anything to hold them in place, they were free to land and move where they may. Some of the beads are emojis, symbolizing how much of an emotional rollercoaster the creative process is and how messy the creative mind can be.
